A bygone day and station 

RALEIGH, NC — Passengers are lined up for an evening train at Raleigh’s old  Cabarrus Street Amtrak station.  The station is now a thing of the past, having been razed this summer shortly after the opening of the new Union Station.  I took this picture in 2009.
