Mattakuskeet twister - June 1986

NEW HOLLAND NC — In June 1986, a tornado struck on the south side of Lake Mattamuskeet. Among the losses was Toppings Lakeside Motel and restaurant. The most striking visual for me was the wooden porch rocker embedded in the front wall of a home in New Holland. Click any photo to fit it to your screen.
