WASHINGTON, NC — They are a flower I never knew about before - Frost Flowers. For a day, we didn’t know where those clumps on the frozen-over Tranters Creek came from. The next day, we could better see what was happening and better educate ourselves. It’s a matter of physics about putting a starter in the right environment. Many of our frost flowers are fragments of cypress cones/balls spreading themselves across the creek. Click here to see all of this year’s Friday Flowers.
