Nesting snapper
WASHINGTON, NC — We have right many turtles nest in the yard each year. This small snapper dropped by about a month ago to leave her calling card. and future. We generally mark nesting spots so they remain clear for hatchlings to make a break for the swamp. In one frame, you can see that small aggravations find their way into such times—a mosquito grazes on mom’s head as she patiently covers her clutch.
Mom Snapper furnishes lunch while covering her clutch.
She is nearly finished with her labors.
