Carolina Coastal Railway yard
WILSON, NC — Here is some of CLNA’s less often seen equipment. Click any photo to enlarge it.
This GP9RM is probably the next locomotive to be activated. Don’t look for it in the short term.
This old SW1400 used to serve in Nash County. It has recently been put in the shop to get ready for new duty. After mechanical work, she’s expecting a flat black coat of paint before heading to Morehead City and the state port.
7048 and 4012 (both GP9RM) are in the yard for some maintenance.
1473 is sitting under the shed and over the pit.
Another unit awaiting work is a MOW truck said to have first been a bread truck.
4014 sits by the loading platform.
