Cube house with fishing skiffs

OCRACOKE, NC — When it comes to the view of Silver Lake (that keyhole in Ocracoke Island) folks, I suppose, have different icons. For some it is the Coast Guard station. For others the light house, or perhaps the ferry moored to its dock. For me it’s always been the cube shaped house that sits over the lake with fishing equipment surrounding it.  I took this photo in 1997.
